ITC 201 - Virtualization and Cloud Computing Security

Course Description: This course introduces students to the design, installation, and configuration of virtual environments and cloud computing systems. Techniques to implement and manage virtual networks, high availability, resource allocation, monitoring, and the automation of virtual environment activities are covered. Security issues arising from the use of virtual and cloud environments are examined.

Practical experience with virtual and cloud environments is integrated through the course. Employability skills of communication, teamwork, and critical thinking are integrated into the course. (3 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
Prerequisite(s): Completion of NST 121, NST 231, and either ITC 281 or CSC 188
