ITC 281 - Cybersecurity I3
Formerly NST 281
Course Description: This course will emphasize core security skills needed to monitor, detect, investigate, analyze, and respond to security events, thus protecting systems and organizations from cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. The course will provide an understanding of cybersecurity operations network principles, roles, responsibilities, and the related technologies, tools, regulations, and frameworks available. Students will be able to apply knowledge and skills to monitor, detect, investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents. Employability skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, personal communication, and critical thinking are integrated into the course work. (2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
Prerequisite(s): Completion of NST 181 Note(s): Credit restricted with CSC 188 and NST 281
