NST 181 - Networking I

Course Description: This introductory networking course examines architectures, models, protocols, and networking components that allow the Internet and modern computer networks to operate. The course will cover topologies, administration, security, and data communication concepts, specifically examining IP addressing and Ethernet fundamentals. Practical experience with the configuration and troubleshooting of networking equipment is embed throughout the course. (2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)

 
Prerequisite(s): Eligible for MAT 080, Math Module 70 or 80.
