MAT 280 - Calculus for Business and Social Science3
Course Description: Topics include a review of functions and key properties of their graphs, properties of limits as related to difference quotient, the derivatives of algebraic, logarithmic and exponential functions, higher-order derivatives and Implicit differentiation, curve sketching, antiderivatives and Applications of derivatives and integrals related to business and social sciences. (This course is not applicable to Engineering or Science degree programs) Prerequisite(s): Placement above or completion of MAT 182, MAT195 or MAT196 with a C or better General Education Elective(s): Math Note(s): A TI - 83+ or 84+ graphing calculator is required.
