Program Description:

The IT Networking and User support certificate prepares students for entry-level IT support and networking support positions. The program helps students learn to assist IT organizations in connecting with their customers, either inside or outside the organization. Skills covered include solving problems with hardware and software, assisting users in the use of applications, and providing education to users on various IT issues. The IT Networking and User Support certificate will provide an entry point for students who want to start in or transition into the IT support industry. The certificate will provide courses that will give students the necessary skills to find entry-level positions in the IT industry. Completing the program in a single semester will provide a rapid pathway for transition and allow students to “get in and get out” and find employment. This certificate is the first in a series of stackable certificates that can be continued and can help students towards an associate degree.

Career and Transfer Outlook:

The certificate will also prepare students for further study in Information Technology through additional certificates or Associate degrees.
