PHY 141 - Physics for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Course Description: This is an introductory physics course for students planning to apply to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Emphasis is placed on understanding through problem solving. Topics include the metric system, Newton’s laws of motion, conservation of energy, properties of matter, temperature and heat, sound waves, light waves, and electricity.
Prerequisite(s): Eligible for ENG 101; Eligible for MAT 177.
Note(s): Course is intended only for students planning to apply to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
