  • Apply for financial aid — (see Financial Aid  for complete information).
  1. Determine your College Placement in English and/or Mathematics
    • Before enrolling in a program of study, most students are required to determine their course placement in reading, writing, and mathematics. In many instances, students can place into college-level courses by using multiple measures, such as high school GPA, SAT, ACT, GED, and HiSet scores. For students not meeting the multiple measure requirements, they can use a guided self-placement process for English and Math. In rarer instances (i.e. the  A&P Challenge Exam or Calculus placement) students can take a computerized test (CPT) for placement.

    • For detailed information on multiple measure criteria, the guided self-placement process, and the use of Accuplacer (CPT), students should visit the College Student Assessment and Placement website.  If you still have questions on course placement, call 1-800-818-3434 or e-mail placement@middlesex.edu.
