BUS 218 - Entrepreneurship LaunchPad4
Course Description: This course is geared toward actively engaging in the launch or growth of a venture; think of it as an internship within your own business. The primary purpose is to leverage efforts already completed to confirm product/market fit and to actively engage in the entrepreneurial process by utilizing tools and practices to understand costs, create financial projections, organize an operating strategy (include a marketing and sales strategy as needed), and plan a growth strategy. Additionally, students will take steps to formalize the venture and strategize funding if needed.
Students will be able to actively work on their new venture, while benefiting from peer-mentoring and coaching from professor. For maximum preparedness for the foundation of a great venture, this course should be taken in conjunction with BUS 211.
Students are expected to have a venture idea from day one. Prerequisite(s): BUS 211 or co-enrolled in BUS 211 Note(s): This is a hybrid class that meets 1 x a week and the rest of the work is online.
