EDU 110 - Teaching Young Children Who Experience Trauma

Course Description: This course will provide an overview of the various types of trauma that children may be exposed to and the potential negative impacts on development. Topics include understanding the difference between short and long-term trauma, cultural factors influencing trauma, support systems, trauma-affected behavioral issues, professional boundaries and practitioner self-care.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of PSY 122 or EDU 122 with a C or better.
