ENG 101 - English Composition I3
Course Description: Students will develop academic writing, close reading, and critical thinking skills. Using a writing process that includes pre-writing, drafting, peer and instructor feedback, and revision, students will produce multiple source-based, thesis-driven essays with appropriate use of MLA documentation.
ISLOs: This course supports student development of Written and Oral Communications, Critical Thinking, and Social Responsibility. Prerequisite(s): Placement into ENG 101 or completion of ENG 088, ENG 089, or ENG 092 with a B or better; or completion of ENG 099 or ENG 109 with a C- or better. Note(s): This course has been approved to meet the Core curriculum General Education Requirement.
