ART 105 - Art History Before 15003
Course Description: Art History Before 1500 is a survey course that examines the development of art and visual culture from prehistoric times through the Middle Ages. Through a chronological and thematic approach, students will learn about the major styles, movements, and artists of this period and the political, social, and cultural contexts in which they emerged. Students will analyze works of art from different media and regions and develop a critical perspective on the role of art in society.
