LAN 109 - Ukrainian 1 and Culture

Course Description: Ukrainian 1 and Culture is an introductory course for beginners. Students will learn Ukrainian language by developing all four communication skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. They will also learn the alphabet in Cyrillic script and how to read and write simple sentences in Ukrainian. They will respond to greetings and simple commands and gain an understanding and respect for a different culture.

ISLOs: This course supports student development of Critical Thinking, Multicultural/Global Literacy, and Personal and Professional Development.
General Education Elective(s): Humanities
Note(s): This course complements our world language offerings to provide students instruction in an important world language.
