LAN 190 - Intermediate Latin II

Intermediate Latin II builds upon the Latin grammar, vocabulary, and translation skills developed in the pre-requisite Intermediate Latin I course.  Students will also do increasingly advanced translations from Latin involving complex and compound-complex periodic Latin sentences from selected works of classical essayists and poets.  As well, the course will expand student’s Latin vocabulary and will review English derivative words to enhance English reading and writing skills.

Prerequisite(s): LAN 188 or by departmental placement exam
General Education Elective(s): Humanities
