ART 113 - 2-D Design
Course Description: This course will teach students the basic concepts of composition and color theory. We will stress the creative process and conceptual development of ideas in two dimensions and the development of a strong sensitivity to color.
General Education Elective(s): Humanities
Note(s): This course has been approved to meet the Core Curriculum General Education requirement.

- Utilize the fundamental language of art and design to visually express and communicate ideas
- Critique student’s own work and work of others by employing critical thinking skills
- Produce creative concepts using a variety of methodologies and media
- Demonstrate student’s own sense of direction in the context of historical and contemporary art discourses and research interest
