EDU 102 - Child Guidance and Classroom Management

Course Description: This course will provide an examination of social-emotional development and its relationship to positive guidance techniques for children in Early Education and Care settings. Topics include theories of child development, current trends and research in child guidance, and standards and practices of Early Education and Care. Effective strategies for handling challenging behaviors and group classroom management are discussed.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of PSY 122 or EDU 122 with a C- or better
