HUS 105 - Special Topics in Developmental Disabilities

Course Description: This course is designed to develop core competencies required for staff serving people with intellectual disabilities.  This course addresses the topics of human rights, health and safety, medication administration, and the skills outlined in the National Community Support Skills Standards.  The question that will guide the study and discussion of these topics is how to balance the health and safety of those served with the right of choice and self-determination.
