SON 109 - Associated Imaging
Course Description: This course provides an overview of the various imaging modalities in radiology. Students are introduced to a basic working knowledge of these modalities that will allow correlation with the sonographic findings. Techniques of ultrasound guided procedures are also reviewed.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of SON 122
Note(s): Open to Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree students only.
Course Student Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the basic physics, operations, advantages and disadvantages of the various imaging modalities in radiology.
- Correlate sonographic findings with those findings from the various imaging modalities in radiology.
- Identify the various techniques utilized in ultrasound guided invasive procedures.
