HST 111 - History of Western Civilization After 18003

A survey and analysis of Western society from 1800 to the present; analyzing the social, cultural, economic, and political themes relevant to the development of the modern world with a focus on the impact of industrialization on the Western world. Other topics include socialism, communism, revolution, imperialism, world war, and modern culture.
Prerequisite(s): Eligible for ENG 101 (EN 1103). Recommendation(s): Concurrent enrollment in ENG 075 (EN 2122) or ENG 085 (EN 2131) if CPT reading placement test is between 68 and 75. General Education Elective(s): Social Science
