LAN 188 - Intermediate Latin I

Intermediate Latin I builds on the basic grammar and syntax foundation established in Beginning Latin II. The course will include coverge of active voice verb conjugations and the more advanced noun and adjective declensions. Students will translate Latin selections from The Iliad, The Odyssey, and The Aeneid. As well, the class will do selected readings in ancient Roman culture and introductory pieces about classical mythology. The course will also build Latin-based English vocabulary to strengthen students’ reading and writing skills.
